Exuding passion and respect for our Vietnam War veterans and fueled by the belief that all things are possible when deriving strength, creativity, and perseverance from the One our country is founded on, a vision to delve into the human domain of the most misunderstood war in our country's history was birthed. Our Vietnam Veterans have been increasingly referred to as "The Bravest Generation" due to the average age being 19, average days in combat was 240 (WWII was 40), the type of barbaric war they fought, the homeland "battlefield" they returned home to, and now—the courage it takes to finally open up and share their stories after 50-years of having been unconscionably shamed into silence.
So, what is my WHY? To separate the warrior from the war—humanize war for the purpose of healing and educating.
HOW? Through real people, real history, real unscripted filmmaking!
Motivated by the healing that has come from my book,
"77 Letters, Operation Morale Booster: Vietnam"- authentic letters & true story about my mother's mission to ensure every GI in Vietnam got a letter at mail call,
I have set out on a mission to hear from the very same population of men and women- 50 years later.
The idea started as a single 30-minute documentary, interviewing 4-5 veterans, however, it has taken on a life of its own, and for good reason.

This is a trailer, offering a glimpse into the variety of perspectives viewers will be privy to in this series. I have conducted over a 100 interviews at this point. I have one more trip to Michigan planned and then heading into post-production for the following handful of months.
The first episode will be released on Veteran's Day. Trailers will be released as early as September.

This is a trailer for an episode delving into the MACV-SOGs and the brave and loyal indigenous people of the Central Highlands, known as the Montagnards. Each episode will also offer a tool for healing, such as healing through writing, art, animals, etc.
Admittedly, I am not proficient in editing, however, I created this trailer to convey my vision of content and tone to the ultimate filmmaker. This is not reflective of the quality of the finished episodes.
